In the Fall of 2015, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, Tennessee Board of Regents, and Tennessee College Access and Success Network collaborated to produce the Student Success Course. The Student Success Course focuses on college access and success content relevant to 11th and 12th-grade students. The course is designed to be a hybrid course—there are lessons with video content and assignments for students to complete in a computer lab as well as lessons for teachers to use in the traditional classroom setting.
The course is aligned with Tennessee Department of Education standards and has been broken up into four topical modules: College 101, Getting In, Gearing Up for College, and College Skills and Success. You can access the complete resource guide as well as video content by module by clicking on the links below.
Please use our free resources and lesson plans below. We encourage you to use the course materials and suggested curriculum to implement the Student Success Course in your school.
